What people have to say about TTouch

“In the 15 years I’ve worked in zoos, I have never seen anything like the way animals respond to this method of handling. The TTouch reduces stress and pain, alters negative behavior patterns and speeds up healing of injuries in animals that haven’t responded to other treatments.”

        — Art Goodrich, San Diego Zookeeper

“The TTouch profoundly alters the mental state and body awareness of animals. I have observed that the TTouch works; the effects are lasting; and with instruction, others can achieve results.”

        — Tom Beckett, DVM

What is TTouch?

Tellington TTouch® is a training approach for the body, mind and spirit of animals

TTouch employs pragmatic and easy-to-learn techniques for common challenges, including:

over-excitability          fear biting         barking and chewing           tension and stress

scratching            shyness and nervousness             recovery from injury or illness       litter box issues         separation anxiety        arthritis, aging and stiffness

adjusting to changes in the household               spraying                jumping up

car sickness       resistance to grooming or nail clipping        leash pulling

competitive performance             reactivity and aggression                ... and more!

“Your dog or cat jumps/chases/bites/cowers/limps/trembles, that’s just the way she is.” Have you ever heard this? That your beloved animal’s fears are just something you both must endure? Or that your aging pet can only be made comfortable by medication? That undesirable behaviors are just part of adolescence and he’ll grow out of them? TTouch offers many solutions to common behavior and health issues while enhancing the relationship you have with your animal.

A unique method of training, TTouch promotes well-being by building confidence and eliminating fearful or undesirable responses. This gentle technique is easy to learn and often produces profound changes, even with the most difficult behavior patterns.

Developed by renowned animal expert Linda Tellington-Jones, TTouch uses a combination of  circular touches, body work and ground exercises to promote relaxation, increase body awareness, facilitate learning and enhance performance. Used for 30 years by trainers, breeders and veterinarians all over the world, TTouch has helped countless animals and their people live in greater harmony.

I started using TTouch on my own dogs several years ago, and I was so impressed with the results that I became a guild-certified practitioner. I have had over 400 hours of hands-on training and have helped many companion animals be the best they can be. May I help yours?
Serving both the Triangle and Triad regions of North Carolina, I regularly work with clients in Mebane, Chapel Hill, Carrboro and Burlington, Raleigh and Durham.
